— How?! We know how much a Porsche costs!
— Well, this one only cost me $15.
His father got even angrier.
— Who in the world sold you a Porsche for $15?
— A woman up the street. I don’t know her name, but when she saw me riding home from school, she stopped me and asked if I wanted to buy this Porsche for $15.
— Oh my gosh, his mother gasped. She must be up to something. Who knows what she’s planning? Johnny, go down there and find out what this is all about.
The boy’s father marched up the street. When he reached the house, he found the woman in her yard, calmly planting flowers.
— Why did you sell a Porsche to my son for $15?!
The woman took off her gardening gloves and explained.
— This morning I got a phone call from my husband. I thought he was away on business, but I found out he’s run away to Hawaii with his secretary. Apparently he’s not planning on coming back. He said that he was stuck there and needed me to sell his Porsche and send the money… So that’s exactly what I did.
