While the students were playing soccer, she noticed one boy standing alone at the far end of the field, away from everyone else.
Feeling sorry for him, she walked over and asked kindly:
— Hey there, is everything alright?
The boy nodded.
Trying to encourage him, she smiled and said:
— You can go and have fun with the others, you know.
The boy shook his head.
— I think it’s best if I stay here.
The teacher looked puzzled.
— And why is that, honey?
The boy stared at her and said:
— Because I’m the goalie!
